The third Polaroid Picture illustration and with this one I thought I’d do something a bit different. I’m getting sick of drawing people so I thought I squirrel might be nice. This has gone up on my portfolio as well as being posted here. The next one will be posted in a few weeks.
At the moment I’ve pretty much got 2 ideas on the go. The Polaroid Pictures and the Live music Illustrations. I plan to create a flash based presentation/website for each of these projects and post them on my portfolio.
Just some more sketches. Portraits again.
As mentioned on the very first post of this blog I had been doing a lot of 3D Poetry. This is when I write poetry on a 3D object such as a piece of Urban Vinyl. I’ve had a small amount of success we these with several exhibitions. This piece was also photographed as a piece of 3D Graffiti. More info on this here.
The images below show the toy in different positions. The piece was created back in March and is not part of my portfolio, so I thought it would be best posted up here.
Tomorrows post will be some new sketches I think.
Another Picture for the Live Project. This is where I am illustrating images from a live music setting – mainly from photos taken from Fence Records HomeGame Festival. This illustration is of The Pictish Trail.
I am looking to create 5 or 6 images here (maybe more – depending on time) and then present them in my portfolio in a Flash based presentation.
This is the second image.
Here’s a couple of portraits. Just a couple of sketches.
Another post with a selection of my Berlin Photos. I’ve developed some of the lomography photos and will be scanning them soon. Some of them look good, some look great and some didn’t turn out at all. The photos in this post are taken from my digital camera.
I’ve also uploaded a lot of the digital photos to my flickr account. The link is below. There is still more to upload and I’ll have to wait until next month as I have filled up my quota for this month.
The photos below show myself in the hotel room and some shots of the Berlin streets. I think the hotel shots are pretty cool so I uploaded here.
Berlin Flickr photos:
Thought I’d post this up. It’s a short story I wrote during an ‘Illustrate and Write’ class a few weeks back. During this class I also came up with the first Polaroid Picture (a series of images I am creating and posting on this blog).
Never the less the story involves 3 emails. One from a guy emailing his girlfriend. The girlfriend then emailing a doctor for advice and the doctor replying to the girlfriend. It is an experiment in graphical storytelling and how to establish character through text. I think the emails give a different perspective as opposed to straight up prose. The graphical element does not add to the story, but I do believe that they make the story more visually appealing.
The 3 emails are below. The story is imaginatively entitled – Emails.
Here’s some more life drawing and anatomy sketches. As with the last drawing post, some of these are taken from the anatomy sketches from my day job. These sketches may find their way onto my portfolio. I’m trying to post up some work everyday (Monday to Friday) to keep myself motivated and creating new work. These posts may be some old stuff that I’ve not put on my portfolio and will include some writing and photographs.
Anyway enjoy these 4 sketches below.
Here’s another lot of photos taken with my digital camera during my recent trip to Berlin. Due to pick up some of the Lomography photos I took during the trip tomorrow. I’m just waiting for them to be developed, as the dark room I use can only develop black and white.
I will post up a link to my Flickr on Friday, when hopefully I will have them uploaded. The photos are a mixture of Street Art and buildings and interesting things I seen while walking around. I spent a lot of time taking in the usual sights and also visiting some art galleries and museums.
Here’s some life drawing sketches I’ve done recently and a few drawings of muscle groups. A couple of the sketches are from my day job. I always do life drawing as much as I can. I’ve got loads more life drawing sketches over at my portfolio.
