I mentioned a few weeks ago about an Exhibition and Poetry Anthology I am involved with called Poetry and Paint. The launch event and exhibition took place on Saturday 30th of March and some photographs are up on the Poetry and Paint website.

Poetry and Paint Exhibition – Dunny Toys and Poetry
I have several pieces of artwork and poetry displaying at an event in London on 30th of March 2013. The event is called Poetry and Paint and is being organised by Carmina Masoliver . I am exhibiting 2 custom made Dunny toys along with two commissioned poems to go with the work. There is also an anthology book which will be released at the Poetry and Paint event, in which I will have images of the Dunny’s along with the poems, plus another image and poem. The image is of a large pastel drawing I completed a few months ago and a poem in relation to the imagery.
Below have included a poster for the event and also the name tags for the Dunny’s. I will post up images of the Dunny’s after the event.
Without Boarders Exhibition – The Point Eastleigh – Update
I have some artwork on display in Eastleigh. The venue of the exhibition is called The Point. The work in display is some 3D Graffiti.
Just wanted to post a link the exhibition web page as it’s cool that I’m mentioned on it!!!!
An old 3D Poem 2
As mentioned on the very first post of this blog I had been doing a lot of 3D Poetry. This is when I write poetry on a 3D object such as a piece of Urban Vinyl. I’ve had a small amount of success we these with several exhibitions. This piece was also photographed as a piece of 3D Graffiti. More info on this here.
The images below show the toy in different positions. The piece was created back in March and is not part of my portfolio, so I thought it would be best posted up here.
Tomorrows post will be some new sketches I think.
Even more 3D Graffiti
This is the final image from the PolkaDot Punks exhibition. It’s a 3D Poem/Graffiti hybrid. This is the same toy as in this image.
For the exhibition I took the toy out on the street and photographed it as a piece of 3D Graffiti.
An old 3D Poem
Here’s an old piece (from a couple of months ago). It’s a toy design with a poem written on it – 3D Poetry. The photo is not that great but it does show what I am trying to do with the 3D poetry. I doubt I’ll do anything with this so I though I’d post it up here. I don’t plan to do any more of these for a while, as I going to concentrate on sketching and updating the design section of my portfolio.

Other artist will also be exhibiting work based on the theme of Community, Place and Street. The festival runs from the 29 – 30th April in various venues in Glasgow with lots of events going on. More info here.
A preview of one of the photographs is below.
What am I working on now?
Recently I’ve been customising vinyl toys. Using Paint, pens stickers and found objects, I’ve created some interesting characters.
I’ve been photographing some of these in urban environments to create ‘3D Graffiti’.
Some photos below. It usually takes me a week or two to create each toy – depending on the style.
As well as ‘3D Graffiti’, I’ve created ‘3D Poetry’. Basically I’ve been writing poems on the toys to create new and interesting ways to present poems. – Photos to follow.
I’m enjoying this as I get to combine illustration and poetry in a new way. But I’ll blog more about this soon.
