Webcomic – Preview Panel 4 – A Perfect Breeze

In late 2013 or even early 2014 I plan to put out my webcomic. This is still untitled but I have completed 35 pages so far.
The comic is a series of poems told in the form of a comic. Making use of images and words to create poetry that focuses on visuals as opposed to just telling a story.

This is the Fourth Preview Panel from the series – a poem/comic called A Perfect Breeze. Told over a single page, markers pens and ink are utilised to convey the themes, while digital panel borders have been added to divide of the panels. Akin to how a poet may use line breaks.

Webcomic – Preview Panel 3 – Difficult

In late 2013 or even early 2014 I plan to put out my webcomic. This is still untitled but I have completed 35 pages so far.
The comic is a series of poems told in the form of a comic. Making use of images and words to create poetry that focuses on visuals as opposed to just telling a story.
This is the Third Preview Panel from the series – a poem/comic called Difficult. Here the panels almost remain static and the emphasis is on the words and the change of perspective of the character.

Webcomic – Preview Panel 2 – Problems

In late 2013 or even early 2014 I plan to put out my webcomic. This is still untitled but I have completed 35 pages so far.
The comic is a series of poems told in the form of a comic. Making use of images and words to create poetry that focuses on visuals as opposed to just telling a story.
This is the second Preview Panel from the series – a poem/comic called Problems. Here the imagery is more abstract and doesn’t focus so much on character, but on the change of imagery between panels.

Webcomic – Preview Panel 1 – Mother Silk

In late 2013 or even early 2014 I plan to put out my webcomic. This is still untitled but I have completed 35 pages so far.
The webcomic is a series of poems told in the form of a comic book – making use of images and words to create poetry that focuses on visuals as opposed to just telling a story.
In the run up to the release I plan on posting up preview panels of the different stories/poems.

This is the first Preview Panel post. The debut is form a webcomic poem called Mother Silk.

Animation on Bad Robot Poetry

Bad Robot Poetry is an excellent blog on Internet and New Poetry. It is run by Catherine Woodward and I have an animation the incorporates poetry on the website.

This is what Catherine says about Bad Robot Poetry:
Bad Robot is a UK based blogzine which publishes Internet Poetry, short essays and features. Given that the internet has done for literature what the camera did for art, Bad Robot would like to encourage as many people as possible to create and engage with an avant garde art that incorporates the dominant media of the 21st Century. Comprised of, about and/or using the conventions of the internet, Internet Poetry is a relevant mode of poesis which truly engages with life in the contemporary ‘Western’ world.

My animation was created in Flash and the text is short and succinct. It is the first in a series of new media poetry experiments which follows on from my other Poetry work. This will incorporate a web comic which I am currently developing. More on this soon.

Please view the video over at Bad Robot Poetry.

Postcards3

Some new postcards. These may be part of a bigger project which I might develop if I have time.
Write a poem on several postcards. Have the poem with a structure that is not linear. Give the postcards out to different Papergirl events. Have the recipients post the poem postcards back. The order in which the postcards arrive dictate the structure of the poem. Then exhibit the postcards in a gallery. A new mail art project? Maybe if I get the time, but something for the future.
