The Papergirl Dublin Exhibition will be on 15th August 2013 at Lucy’s Café (upstairs in Lucy’s Lounge), 11 Fownes Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.
I have some postcards in the exhibition. A poster for the event is below.
A fifth image here from my Memoir Project submission – Clown Noses. This is the title poem and image. I took the title fairly randomly and then created the image around it.
Some photographs of the recent Papergirl Estonia Exhibition are on their facebook page.
My work was previously highlighted here, but some images of my work can be seen below.
The Exhibition was on the 25th of April in Tartu and judging by the photographs it looks like it was pretty cool.
I have had my work featured on the Papergirl Dublin Facebook page
. The work is some more postcards and will be part of the Papergirl event in Dublin later this year. I will post about the exhibition closer to the date, which is still to be confirmed.
I took part in Papergirl Dublin 2012 and it’s great to be part of the event in 2013.
A third image from my Memoir Project submission. Here we see a hand written poem. For the Memoir Project I wanted to use poetry to tell a story.
Another page from my Memoir Project Submission. Clown Noses. This is one of my first attempts at concrete poetry. Just thought I’d try something new. I’m not too sure that this page is quite representative of the book as a whole or if it is even a memoir, but I think it is quite an interesting image that makes use of words and imagery.
The Memoir Project is run by the Arhouse co-op in Brooklyn New York, where they have asked 500 writers and artists to complete a 32 page booklet and turn it into a Memoir. This is from the same organisation who run The Sketchbook Project, where I created my book – ‘Fashion Design For Monsters‘. My Memoir is called ‘Clown Noses’ and is a series of poems and pictures, making use of concrete poetry and imagery to act as a Memoir. The Book will go on tour in various cities in North America. More on this later, but below is an image from my book. I won’t be posting up all the pages, just a selection.
Recently I had an exhibition in Dundee. This was of a postcard that I created. Now that the exhibition is well and truly over I thought I’d post up the image. It is a short illustrated poem called Leaves.
The Sketchbook Project asks artists of all levels to complete a small book with ideas, drawings and sketches. I recently completed my sketchbook and below a preview page can be seen. My book is called ‘Fashion Design For Monsters’. I’ve posted up several pages from this and here is another one. A quick photo taken of one of the pages.
