Lewis Chessmen – 1
I’ve done a couple of sketches of the Lewis Chessmen.
These are miniature chess pieces that look like small and interesting characters. I thought that this would make a change from life drawing.

Fashion Illustration – 7
More experiments with inks, promarker pens and fine liners. I’m playing around with colour and pattern here as well, really trying show different influences and styles.
Currently in Canada
I’m in Canada at the moment backpacking my way through the country. Right now I’m in Montreal. So far I’ve seen toronto and Ottawa. Next I’m off to Quebec city, then I return to Montreal to catch a flight to the USA and New York. From there it’s on another flight to San Francisco, then a trip up to Seattle, Vancouver and hopefully a trip around the rockies. I should be back sometime in late June or early July so don’t expect many posts until then. Cheers, Steven
Ballet Illustration
Here is an Illustration I created several months ago. I was experimenting with black and white and Illustrating movement. As a lot of my experiments I wasn’t sure what to do with it. I don’t know if it is one for the portfolio (which I am redesigning at the moment), so here it is on the blog.
Fashion Illustration – 6
These images were created using a combination of inks, promarker pens and fin liner pens. I think I get good results. I am using watercolour paper as the pens turn out a lot better than on cartridge paper.
