Milo Goes to Diversity and Equality Training

Milo Goes to Diversity and Equality Training takes a personal look at punk rock lyrics, attitudes and the exploitation of DIY art spaces. It is a perzine where memory and personal experiences are explored in order to look at how people take advantage of the open nature of DIY art, as a way to hide behind their ignorance and homophobia.

The zine uses illustrations, comics and text to present different ideas around DIY art and spaces. It’s not a comprehensive guide, it doesn’t present a solution and I am pretty sure lots of people will disagree with the concept and ideas within.

You can buy this zine here.

Milo Goes to Diversity and Equality Training comes with a massive content warning for homophobia.

You’ll enjoy this zine if you like indie comics, perzines, Descendents and queer comics.

Glasgow Comic Con – 1 June 2024

I am doing a lot less events this year, as I am concentrating on new work. I expect I will be doing even less next year as well. Therefore I am pleased to take part in Glasgow Comic Con on 1 June 2024. The event is taking place at The Royal Concert Hall, Killermont Street, Glasgow G2 3NY

I will have no new comics or zines for sale, but this will be the last time in quite a while that I will be selling my comic and zines in person in Glasgow. I plan on doing a lot more comics and zine events in 2026. I had a busy 2022 and 2023 and I want to come back with lots of new stuff.

New Zine for Sale – Misremembering Sarah Kane

I have a new zine for sale!

Misremembering Sarah Kane Through My Own Suicide Attempts is a comic book zine about my own experiences with mental health, suicide and self harm. The zine features text, essays and comics. It is an abstract retelling of how I confuse my memories with my experiences of watching and reading plays by the cult 1990’s playwright Sarah Kane. I use comic books as a means to discuss being a suicide survivor and how this can affect memory and personal experiences.

Sarah Kane (3 February 1971 – 20 February 1999) was an English playwright who is known for her plays that deal with themes of redemptive love, sexual desire, pain, torture—both physical and psychological—and death.
