I have a table at the Tokyo Art Book Fair this year. It is taking place in person and also online. I am taking part online!

I have been working on a new comic that is almost complete. It’s more of a self published perzine though as it features lots of text along with comic book pages.
The title is Conversations with my Imaginary Friends and looks at voice hearing and learning to live with mental health behaviours that can impact your life.
Conversations with my Imaginary Friends is a detailed look at coping mechanisms when you live with voice hearing. Schizophrenia is a commonly misinterpreted behaviour and one that affects many people in different ways. In Conversations with my Imaginary Friends I explore my coping mechanism of writing down what the voices in my head say. The comic includes the letters and words and also shows how the intrusion of voice hearing can be mitigated in a personal and intimate way.
I’ll be at the Hackney Comic + ZineFair 2021 (online!).
I’ll have zines and comics for sale. The online event is on from 4 – 30 September 2021 – I will post up more information on the digital event – but below is an old photo of my table at another comic fest.

Dix Pix looks at the queer male/trans/non-binary body and why it is common for people to send naked pictures via dating apps. The zine takes an experimental approach in its visual style and tackles themes of masculinity, queerness, solitude and the body.
Dix Pix features illustrations of dick pics that were sent to me over the gay dating app Grindr. Along with the images there are text messages and exchanges that also occurred over the app.
Gay dating and hookup apps such as Grindr have changed the way gay people communicate when looking for a partner. Face to face communication is not the first port of call. When using Grindr it’s very common to receive unsolicited pictures of naked people with penises or dick pics as they are also known. In Dix Pix I examine the need for the male (and other genders who have a penis) body to be exposed in order to gather attention through dating apps.

NeuroQueer Cat Apocalypse is a comic with a difference. You are asked 10 questions throughout the zine. You need to answer the questions from an autistic and queer perspective in order to survive. Answer correctly the planet is saved. Answer incorrectly and we all die.
The zine comes with a badge of a cat. The badge is in colour and zine is in black and white.
