The Yassification Of My Ex-Boyfriends Soul is my latest comic/zine. It is available on my Etsy shop and can be bought from here. I have already presented this zine at a couple of fests to try it out. The synopsis is below.
The Yassification Of My Ex-Boyfriends Soul takes a personal look at memory, queer relationships and mental health. The comic looks back at a short romantic relationship and considers if the memory of what happened is different from the reality. The perspective carries more weight when we realise the storyteller lives with Schizophrenia and regularly experiences psychosis. Schizophrenia is not shown as a negative or horrific thing, but presented as new and worthwhile perspective to have on life.
The Yassification Of My Ex-Boyfriends Soul is a indie comic book zine that is told from the perspective of the writer and artist. It takes a deep and profound look at relationships and how people communicate with each other. The Yassification Of My Ex-Boyfriends Soul is profound and experimental in its approach, where the story and visuals present neurodiversity and queerness in a unique and distinctive style.
You will like Yassification Of My Ex-Boyfriends Soul if you enjoy indie comics, unique stories and personal narratives. It takes elements of Diary Comics, Perzines and Graphic Medicine to give a careful, distinctive and intimate approach to comic book storytelling in a DIY and self-published format.
