Never Knowing – Screening at Bad Robot Poetry
Online screening of a Digital Animated Poem entitled ‘Never Knowing’. The animation was completed in flash and the video content was filmed and then edited together with text and audio. The text was a written reaction to the visuals and was developed to create a digital poem.

My work included Logo Design for the 4 characters and writing spoken word pieces for a performance artist to interpret. The spoken word pieces were 4 narrative poems telling the story of the toys.

A Thousand Cranes – Scottish Writers for Japan – Poetry Anthology, Cargo Publishing.
My poem ‘The Positives’ was published in this poetry anthology with proceeds from sales going to help the relief effort towards the Japanese Tsunami. The poem had a theme of ‘looking forward’ and was written in an imagist style.

Dare To Be Digital 2009 – Student Videogames design competition.
I wrote a story and synopsis for an independent videogame ‘Hoedown Showdown’. The game was created by a team of students for the Dare To Be Digital videogame design competition. Here I developed a script and story outline (akin to a movie script). The game developers interpreted my written work to design and develop the game.

Channel 4 – Talent Arcade
I wrote and developed a video game projects for Channel 4’s 4Talent scheme. For Talent Arcade I developed a synopsis for an interactive team web based game for children. The title was Inmates and the purpose of the game was to teach children using teamwork and storytelling. The story involved a group of friends who had a task to build a prison. They then had to vote who they thought should go in the prison.
This game was developed in collaboration with a videogames developer (TPLD) in Dundee. Here I wrote a synopsis, designed characters and created a short promotional animation in Flash.

Channel 4 – Mobile Pitch
For Mobile Pitch I wrote a synopsis for an interactive mobile phone game. This game involved urban art and utilising interactive storytelling. It was called Street Art and the synopsis involved a graffiti artist who had to paint the streets to reclaim territory. The game was developed with mentoring form Nokia and EA Mobile.

I was commissioned to write and develop 2 short animations for mobile phones. I developed 2 short scripts and was involved in character design, Illustration and marketing. Here I also storyboarded the two animations and was involved in the technical side of developing animation for mobile devices. The animation was screened at The Edinburgh International Film Festival 2008.
