Circles, Circles, Circles – New short show at Anatomy, Summerhall Edinburgh

Do It Theatre

After the success of Ten Little Memories at BasicSpace Festival in February, we have a brand new show. It’s a short Private Play that will be presented during the Anatomy cabaret of art/theatre/music and stuff at Summerhall in Edinburgh. The event takes place on Friday 4 March.
Tickets can be bought from here.

Circles, Circles, Circles is a 4 page zine that tells the story of a person coming to terms with the problems of work and paranoia. It has been written to be read in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre at Summerhall.

Check the blog tomorrow for more information on another event at Summerhall.

Writing a Comic Book Poem – Tosca

Comic Book Poems

Okay, so this Comic Book Poem may not exactly be poetry. In-fact it is an Opera on the page. The Opera in question is Tosca. As Opera is not everyone’s cup of tea it ends rather abruptly. For this Comic Book Poem I wanted to present a short comedic story about a character who likes to sing. His voice is not appreciated and his singing comes to an end.

The text is taken directly from the Opera Tosca so credit has to go to Lugi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa, who are the Libretto for the piece. The text is written below.

Eun Pas-so Sfio-Ra-Va La Re-Na
En-Tra-Vael-La, Fra-Gran-Te
Mi Ca-Dea Fra La Brac-cia
Oh! Dol-Ci, O Lan-Gui-De-Ca
Rez-Ze Men Tr’Io

100 Screams – begins August 2015

100 Screams

100 Screams is a webcomic that looks at mental illness in an atypical way. This webcomic shows you a personal take on what it feels like to have mental problems and how difficult life can be. Other than being a straight forward story the reader will witness abstract thoughts and feelings.

100 screams launches August 2015 and will continue until the end of January 2016. Check back at this blog for more information closer to the launch.
